Converting the 7.82 Patriot case into a 6mm Thermos Bottle… why there is almost nothing to it! Excepting fireforming and annealing, case at right is a finished product. After lopping of the neck and shoulder, the work begins with expansion and subsequent turning of entire case body.

 

Outside neck turning was required as cases were progressively necked down. Here the cylindrical case is outside turned before any necking. Next comes 17 steps of necking, annealing and turning. Simple? Simply unfeasible!
