Note: In reality, it seems likely that the reason the 22-caliber 40-grain BT appears to retain its velocity so much better than the 5mm 32-grain Sierra BK is that Sierra offers velocity corrected BC data and Nosler does not. Likely, the Sierra bullet would retain a velocity edge to any range. However, both will certainly deliver explosive velocity beyond about 400-yards, which is the limit of interest for most shooters, as discussed in the text.
